We bring home another Acura Integra RS, or for the enthusiasts the trim code "DC4". The integra is being prepared for the Chumpcar World Series and at home for the IT-J class.
The journey has been tough for the integra or Chump II as we call it for now. The car has been sitting submerged in High River during the flood of, June 20, 2013.
At first glance it doesn't look that bad - just dirty ...
The tell tale signs of something is off starts come up with the amount of rust seen but, it could easily be dismissed if this car came out east where salt is heavily used for winter roads.
Then we looked at the cage and can only imagine the hours of sanding and cleaning. The ECU was also submerged in water.
Not pretty.Water is not your friend when it comes to race cars.
And then the engine with "stuff" in the oil...
