DESCRIPTION:Update: 11/25/2013 \nChange of Date July 26\, 2014 \nUpdate: 11/13/2013 \nThe "L.A.K" Leduc Alberta 1000 has a confirmed Date!\nSaturday July 26 2014\n1000km\nPit party\, and bon fire after the checkers\nInterested teams should post team name and race car under this. \nUpdate: 11/2013 \nThe Longest race in the west on the longest day of the year...\nThe Northern Alberta Sport Car Club is proud to present in conjunction with “TBA” \n“The First annual LEDUC 1000” \nJune 21 2014 (subject to change)  \nThe challenge: This will be a 1000km endurance race on Castrol Raceway’s 2.7km road course\nThe race starts at 9am sharp\nThe race is over when the first car reaches the 370th lap AKA 1000km all laps count including FC yellow.\nThus no set time limit\, estimates of 9-11 hours for the winner\nNo min pit stop time do your stops as fast as you can!\nTires are open\nThis event is open to all closed wheel race cars from ITJ to GT1. These cars will run in 3-5 performance groups based on HP and Weight and historic Lap times. All classes will run together at the same time. Classes will be set by the NASCC officials\nAll standard WCMA racing rules apply\nTrophies and cash prizes to the top 3 in each group\nBBQ and social party after the race\nTeams can have 2-5 drivers\nPrice per team aprox. $750\nThis will be a hot pit event with Over the Wall stops. OTW crews must be in full driving gear\nFull sup regs soon\nFirst 60 teams secure a spot on the hot pits\nAll drivers must have a WCMA road racing licence there will be a school in May 2014 where this may be obtained.\nMove in will be Friday night! \nAll information provided is subject to change. \n

DESCRIPTION:With car racing\, snowmobile drags\, and motorcycle and quad races\, this is a family event with lots to see and do throughout the whole weekend. The Lac La Biche high-speed event is now set to take place on the frozen lake as it has in the past as temperatures have created sufficient ice for safe racing. \nLac La Biche may be the only location this year to host the only and final Northern Alberta Sports Car Club (NASCC) Race\, since all other races so far have been cancelled. \nSATURDAY March 8 \n10 a.m. to 5 p.m. \nIce Car Races: Chevettes\, Neons and Modifieds \nSnowmobile Poker Rally \nHorse and Sleigh Rally \nRegistration for the snowmobile poker rally  and horse and sleigh rally will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday morning at the Winter Festival of Speed Grounds. \nSUNDAY March 9\n12 p.m. to 5 p.m. \nWestern Canadian Ice Car Race Finals \nRebel Ice Racing Motorcycles \nBoth Saturday and Sunday will have airplanes fly-in on Lac La Biche.  A concession booth will be on site all weekend. Other activities include horse-drawn sleigh rides and a family tobogganing area.
