The weeks leading up the The Thrity-Six:

  • Alberta just experienced the largest flood in 100 years -many homes and businesses are desytroyed.
  • I just got married, June 29 and, what better way to celebrate ... - than a honeymoon at the track than to spend time together at the track...

Setting up for the Thirty-Six

We leave for Spokane on July 4, and meet up with the team ten hours later at the Spokane County Raceway.

Size Matters!

Team BSD for the crazy 36 hour endurance: Andy, Brando, Dom, Kelsey, Kenny, Kevin, Lisa, Rick, Sherisse, Soyan, Taras.

It'll buff out...

Dom: "That's right! Ice... man. I am dangerous."

sorry Domo, I couldn't help quoting from Top Gun.

Preparing the chumper

The race starts in the evening at 10:00pm (22:00). During this time we go over logistics, organize tools, and prepare the chumper.

Clear skies and race fuel in the air - what can be better?

This also provides time for the team to split up and relax before the race.

Postion 14

The green flag drops and we quickly move up to position five...

...only to find out that we are assessed at 15 lap penalty. This was due to our previous podium finishes. It just means we have to work harder.

Team BSD position 3 into 400 laps

As the sun comes up we are in position three.
